How much extra does it cost for a water view in (West) Seattle?
I grew up in Seattle with a sweeping view of Shilshole Bay, thanks to my ambitious parents. When I was in my early 20s, I lost this view as I ventured out on my own and could no longer afford sweeping views on a starving graduate student’s income. That was decades ago, and I live in West Seattle now and I make a little bit more than I did as a starving student — how much would it cost me to buy a view back for our own family? More importantly, how much would it cost an average buyer to buy a water view?
