I had some potential buyers come through my open house last week who said they were glad to be buyers right now because their agent told them this is a buyer’s market. “So we can take more time to consider our options,” they said happily. This is definitely a truer statement this year than it was five years ago. But it’s not completely true either!
Currently there are 149 homes pending in West Seattle: one in three (32%) went pending less than 7 days after being listed, and over two in three (70.4%) of the homes that are pending went pending in under 30 days.
So if a buyer really likes a particular home, the better part of valor would be to move with some urgency 🙂
